Our First Paw Forward program is designed to take advantage of the young dog’s early learning and socialization period and is open to pups from 8 weeks – 14 weeks for medium/large breeds and to pups from 8 weeks – 18 weeks for small breeds.

This intermediate level class is open to “First Paw Forward” or “Never Too Late” grads. It is designed to help you build on the basic level skills you learned and make them useful in your everyday life.

Never Too Late is a beginner level obedience class for dogs five months or older. It is designed to help you instil the basic commands you will need to communicate with your dog and help him understand the rules of your home. Pre-requisite class or equivalent: “First Paw Forward”.

Topics covered include: name response, sit, down, stay, off , focus and teaching your dog to wait for a release. We also cover loose lead walking, impulse control and settle on a mat. All exercises are progressive and skills are built from the first class to the last.

Note: Saturday classes are always tentative and their dates can change to have an earlier OR later start date depending on student availability and interest in potential dates. A minimum of 4 students are required to confirm a date for the class. If the above Saturday class(es) dates change, currently registered students will be notified.
