Puppy Training Classes

Have a new puppy?

At All About Dogs, we believe that positive reinforcement training is the best way to create a happy and confident dog who understands what is expected of them. Training should begin as soon as your new puppy arrives in your home.

Our First Paw Forward program is designed to take advantage of a young dog’s early learning and socialization period for puppies 8 weeks – 16 weeks of age.

We introduce basic commands such as sit, down, off, come when called, settle on a mat, and preliminary skills of leash walking. You will learn to avoid common puppy problem behaviors by developing your dog’s self-control and ability to focus and respond to you around other dogs and people. The class routine also includes the opportunity for the puppies to socialize in a safe and controlled environment before they are ready for interaction with other dogs in parks and on the streets. Puppies must have their first vaccination to attend, but it is not required that they be fully vaccinated

In-Home Dog Training

For owners who prefer training in their own environment, we also offer in-home dog training in Toronto and the GTA.

In-home sessions are ideal for:

• leash walking around your neighbourhood
• addressing behaviour issues in the home
• puppy training and house manners
• helping dogs succeed in real-life environments

Our trainers come directly to your home, providing personalized training tailored to your dog and lifestyle.

Heated Indoor Dog Pool

We are proud to offer a heated indoor dog pool, perfect for canine fitness, swimming lessons, and year-round exercise.

Swimming helps dogs:

• build strength and endurance
• improve mobility and joint health
• burn energy in a safe way
• support rehabilitation and conditioning

Our indoor dog pool allows dogs to enjoy swimmingin a safe, controlled environment regardless of the weather.
