Update on the status of All About Dogs – Covid-19

Hello Everyone

This has been an incredibly difficult time over here in the All About Dogs bubble. We have been struggling to keep up with the minute -by-minute changes and of course terribly worried about how we are to weather these uncharted waters.

I have half a dozen letters drafted to all students and clients and each time I think we have a plan to designed to carry us forward, yet another ruling or recommendation is released by the powers that be. Last night the reality hit that with the declaration of a State of Emergency within the province of Ontario, we have been mandated to cease all recreational activities here at our school until March 31st. This is the harsh reality. It is no longer about numbers of people within our open classrooms – we are not permitted to offer recreational services to any clients.

As a result,  all classes have been suspended and will drop back in to place once the province deems it safe to open our doors again. Unfortunately this also includes individual hall rentals, private training lessons and grooming services. We realize this is an incredibly difficult a time for everyone. I hope that all of you will stay safe at home and snuggle your furry friends.

If any of you are interested, we are working on a couple of options for training. We are working on a live streamed Canine Fitness Boot Camp! No excuses not to get savvy and take this time to buff up your dogs. We hope to have something in place for next week!

We have had queries about other virtual options for training while we ride out this extra home time. Once we figure out how we are going to keep this lovely bubble afloat, we can put our energies into some creative ideas to bring services to you and your dogs in your home or cottage. By next week, I hope to be able to offer both virtual private training sessions (already have my first student lined up for Monday) and good old fashioned phone consultations!

Please remember that All About Dogs is a very small company with a significant overhead that provides for our spacious training halls. We want to be able to pick up where we left off! I so miss the enthusiasm of the many happy dogs that visit us each week – and its only been 3 days!!
