For the newbies, those just getting their feet wet, and the seriously addicted - this seminar was put together for you!
I am looking forward to gathering you all together without the distraction of agility equipment, or your dogs and filling in the gaps for you!

    3. Organizations that offer agility competitions in North America and Ontario
    4. An in depth look at The Agility Association of Canada (AAC)
    5. Trials and tribulations:
      1. How do I get started?
      2. How do I know if we’re ready!?
      3. My dog needs an ID?
      4. How do I determine my dogs jump height
    6. Rules and Regulations:
      1. Points and faults
      2. Times and scores
      3. Qualifying and placements
      4. Progression through levels
    7. Rules of the ring:
      1. Entering & exiting
      2. Running naked (the dog that is!)
      3. Ring crew and bar setters
      4. The Judge
      5. Eliminated for eliminating (the dog again)
    8. Trial Etiquette (nothing to do with spoons or forks!)
    9. What to take – or rather, what not to take
    10. Coaching concepts to keep in mind to help you and your dog make the transition to competition a successful one!
    11. Agility Games: Standard, Steeplechase, Gamblers, Snooker, Team, Jumpers

At the end of the seminar there will be a brief question and answer period.

Key Etiquette Information for Participation

Please bring a pair of clean indoor shoes to wear while in our facility
and be prepared to change your shoes to potty your dog.

Acceptable equipment to be used at our facility and surrounding grounds, include:
flat collars, cloth martingales, roman harnesses, head halters or no-pull front clip harnesses.

Extendable leashes, spray or squirt bottles, shock/citronella, prongs, or chain style collars (including chain style martingales) are NOT PERMITTED
in or around the facility. Please leave these devices at home. Any handler found using these devices while on site, will be asked to leave the property.
There will be no refund of fees in such instances and all legs earned will be considered null and void.

Handlers need to be attentive to their dogs and keep barking to a minimum at all times.

All dogs must be kept in a crate or on leash when not in the ring.
Please note that dogs cannot be left unattended unless in a closed crate. (Ex pens will not be permitted)

Please ensure that your dog eliminates in the designated areas and that waste is deposited in the green bins provided.
Please do not allow dogs to urinate on the walls of the building.
Inability to follow these guidelines and clean up after your dog will result in dismissal from the event.

Inhumane or aggressive treatment of a dog, staff, volunteer or other participants, will not be tolerated.
Any handler engaging in physical and/or verbal mistreatment will be asked to leave the facility immediately with no consideration
for a refund of fees.
