Agility
These classes are designed for dogs that have an elementary understanding of all of the agility obstacles. At this level we employ the use of stations to allow dog and handler to maximize their class time and to develop their obstacle performance skills. Typically dogs at this level are learning to perform the teeter totter with confidence and accuracy. Weave poles are developed through the 2x2 method to ensure independent performance and speed in the poles. Other stations would include a jumps and tunnels sequence so the dogs can burn off a little steam and handlers can practice the execution of the different handling moves. Each dog and handler team is given exercises in each station according to their strengths and weaknesses so that each team develops at their own pace. |
